Gardyn plants grow from yCubes, our pre-seeded pods designed for easy germination and healthy growth. Our plant experts have hand selected heirloom, non-GMO seeds that are easy to grow and taste delicious.

All Gardyn plants are non-GMO and pesticide-free, grown without harmful chemicals.

Your Gardyn comes with a curated starter set designed for strong early growth. You can’t swap plants in that first set, but if you activate your free 30-day membership trial, you’ll get plant credits to redeem for any variety you'd like in the app.

Lettuces, leafy greens, and most herbs. They’re quick to sprout, forgiving to care for, and regrow fast after harvest.

Tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, strawberries, and some vining or fruiting plants are a few examples of "advanced" plants. While they may need extra care, such as pollination or pruning, when cared for appropriately they deliver exciting yields.

Yes! Every active membership (including the free 30-day trial) includes monthly plant credits which you can redeem directly in the app. Credits roll over while your membership is active and can be used whenever you’re ready to grow.

Leafy greens are usually ready in 3–5 weeks, herbs in 4–6 weeks, and fruiting plants take longer. Each plant page lists its typical first-harvest window.

When cared for properly, most herbs and greens produce for a few months with regular harvesting. Fruiting plants grow, flower, and then complete their life cycle.

It’s how you keep your Gardyn always full - start new sprouts in a nursery while your current ones are still growing, then replace plants on your Gardyn as they finish their lifecycle.

The Gardyn App will guide you through a few quick tasks every week, such as topping off water, adding plant food, trimming roots and harvesting. Advanced plants may also need pollination.

Gardyn yCubes™ contain natural elements and, as such, some of them might not germinate.

No sprouts? No problem!

We are happy to replace any yCubes that don’t germinate after 21 days. Please reach out to Customer Support at [email protected], or chat here in the app or on the website, to request replacements.
