Unsprouted yCubes Tips

STEP 1

Rinse Unsprouted yCubes

Gently rinse with water to remove any plant food. Be careful not to disturb the seed or rockwool.

STEP 2

Place yCubes in a Small Tray

Place your wet yCubes in a shallow tray. Proceed to step 3 only once they begin to get lighter in color and weight.

STEP 3

Keep Them Moist

Make sure that yCubes are hydrated at all times, but not oversaturated. Do not exceed the maximum water level depicted. Monitor daily for sprouts and moisture. Your yCubes will be ready for the Gardyn once the seeds have germinated and the sprouts have established cotyledons.

STEP 4

Clean Your Pods

Before inserting the newly sprouted yCubes into your Gardyn, remove the pods from the column. Discard expired yCubes and clean the pod. You can rinse the pod or wash in the dishwasher.

STEP 5

Insert yCubes into Column

Insert the sprouted yCube in the pod as shown and place the pod with the germinated yCube back on the column.

STEP 6

Keep Growing!

In the Gardyn, continue to add one teaspoon of Plant Food for every two gallons of water. Enjoy and happy gardyning!
